Celebrating a Decade of Youth Philanthropy

2019 is a special year for the Youth Grantmakers (YG) program, marking a full decade of youth engagement at The Community Foundation. Started in 2009, The Community Foundation launched the Youth Grantmakers in Riverside to encourage philanthropy among local youth. Through this program, Riverside and San Bernardino County youth are given a voice and an opportunity to address issues important to them by participating in grantmaking.

In celebration, we will be holding a 10th Anniversary Celebration & Recognition Ceremony! Please join us as we celebrate a decade of youth philanthropy in the Inland region!

The Youth Grantmakers Program

Youth Grantmakers was created to empower youth to address issues that are important to them by participating in grantmaking. Through this program our young people become active agents of change, preparing them for responsive community leadership and practical hands-on service.
