Funders Alliance Creates Toolkit for Nonprofits

The Funders Alliance of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties is working to elevate the profile of local nonprofits with a new initiative and toolkit called the “Inland Empire Changing the Narrative Toolkit for Nonprofits.”  Launched in March, the toolkit is designed to help nonprofits more effectively tell the story of their organizations from a position of strength as they seek funding from foundations, grantmakers and individual donors.

“This year-long process has culminated in new messaging and resources for nonprofits, helping them attract future funding and individual giving to their organizations," said Celia Cudiamat, SVP of Grants & Community Impact of The Community Foundation and 2019 Chair of the Funders Alliance. “It truly provides a new way of looking at the Inland Empire and how our nonprofit organizations are transforming lives.”

Last month, several organizations attended a workshop hosted by the Academy for Grassroots Organizations to learn more about the toolkit and resources available to them. Nonprofits interested in using the toolkit can view it here.

The Funders Alliance is a collaborative group of large regional funding agencies that have joined together to increase communication, collaboration, and coordination among regional funders.
