The Community Foundation has appointed Dr. Jonathan Lorenzo Yorba as our new President/CEO.

Jonathan Yorba has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit, governmental and private sectors where he has focused on economic development, quality of life, community engagement, financial stability and sustainability, and regional leadership.

"Jonathan reminds us of the importance of 'giving back to one's community' and is committed to working hard for the needs of all in our region in such areas as education, health services and providing a helping hand. Our two-county region will be well served by Jonathan's presence as our new CEO," said James Cuevas, the Board Chair who led the foundation board's search committee.

to the position of President/CEO because of the Foundation's emphasis on enhancing the quality of life of the residents of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. "I love the Inland Empire and the Coachella Valley. They are such important regions of Southern California," says Yorba. "I grew up in various parts of these areas and received both a formal and informal education in this vast and dynamic region."

Yorba lives in Palm Spring and also has deep roots in this vast region. "From San Bernardino and Colton to Big Bear, and from Cathedral City and Palm Springs to Riverside, my family and I have lived in the Inland Empire and the desert for generations."

"I am looking forward to working with the board, staff, and the scores of TCF's professional advisors in the service of our communities and their causes served by The Community Foundation," says Yorba.
